Forgive me... former avid skier, still get excited by mountains and snow 
Elevation of mtns is 10000 ft. Will post lots of pics next wk when I get home.

Trishy, it's Oregon's high desert, forged by volcanoes. Those mtns you liked are called Three Sisters, dormant but one has developed a bulge and is being monitored.
