Frances…there is a lot of evidence that a raw or whole prey diet is safe and healthy for cats. What we feed is a personal choice and we try to keep an open mind here and respect people's individual decisions.
Deedee, I think you just need to be sure to keep your raw frozen until you are ready to use it, then let it thaw out for 12-24 hours before use. A lot of folk will freeze meal sized portions, that way they only need to thaw what they need - so when they go to feed their pets they pull out the next day's portion from the freezer to put in the refrigerator.
