Can savannahs be sedated if need be?

Staff member
Can you be a bit more specific? Sedated for travel? Depends -- talk to your vet. Sedated because of behavioral issues. There are drugs that can help with particular issues -- talk to your vet.

The care for a Savannah is NO different than any other cat breed. We do recommend avoiding ketamine for sedation/anesthesia but many breeders of other cat breeds say the same. Apart from that, whatever your vet recommends should be as safe for a Savannah as any other cat.
