Cats fights

I have 2, 1 year old, cats. 1 male Bengal and 1 female Savannah F7.
The girl is now fighting the boy and chasing him away.
It all started when a stranger white cat appeared in the garden. It was not agressif a bit scared and watching them and then talking to me.
So the boy hissed at it and the girl responded by hissing at my Bengal and chasing him away.
It has been war since!
Lots of screaming ,fast speed chases, even in the house now.
The boy is petrified, she is in charge.
I had to separate them .
Scary! And what to do next?
They really were getting on well before it all started.
Any forums with similar cases which could help?
Thank you!

Yes, they are.
I just read about redirected agression...
Sounds like it...
When it happened on Monday , they made friends in a few hours later.
But last night was much worse after the second incident when they were out in the garden.
The white cat was not present but my cats were probably on their guards .

Yes it does sound like redirected aggression. The fact that you know the cause I think is a big advantage... someone like Marilyn, www.thecatcoach.com, would be useful for working on this... but you might find some good tips online with some searching.

i think working on not having that cat in your garden again would be a good idea... motion activated deterrents and such things might work.

I think there's more than one episode of "My Cat From Hell" showing this, I don't like the guy's attitude to Bengals and Savannahs but the general gist is the slow re-introduction of the cats after this kind of incident...

Our boy Diablo completely loses his cool when one of the neighborhood cats is near "his" house. He almost always goes after Jarvis within the next 20-30 minutes. Our best bet, when Diablo begins to display this behavior, is to get him away from Jarvis. He won't go for Mickey, only Jarvis, so we try to take Jarvis into a separate room, and play with him. Within about a half hour, the aggression for Diablo passes and he is ok again. Sending good thoughts your way.

They are in 2 different rooms at the moment.
Any idea how long they should be separated?
An other night perhaps ? And maybe an other day tomorrow as I am going to be out most of the day.
What do you think?
Thank you for your replies,:paw:

If they are behaving normally now you could consider re-introducing them, but I agree that I would be nervous with them together unsupervised all day tomorrow. One thing I have heard works is putting a dab of vanilla on their noses - this masks the offending scent(s) and apparently has a calming effect as well.
