I had an amaaaaaaaazing experience at the Safari Park in San Diego this week and got to get up close and personal (well, within 2 feet of personal, LOL) with Amara. Isn't she gorgeous?

Gorgeous! A friend of my mother-in-law has 2 Florida panthers (don't worry, she rescued them, has an enormous enclosure, and a permit to have them!) and I am just in awe every time we visit. Both cheetahs and panthers are such beautiful animals.

She was purring super loud, but not much vocalizing other than that. From what I hear, the other cheetahs that are animal ambassadors are less reserved, and I am planning to repeat the experience when I go back to San Diego next month, so hopefully I'll get to meet one that's more vocal. :)

Best 40 bucks I've spend in just about forever, though. I just love big cats (and small cats, and in between cats)!

Why would we worry? Honestly- most people on this board are not going to bash legal exotic owners.

I don't think you need to RESCUE exotics- yes, some need to be rescued, but you aren't a bad person if you purchase a baby from a USDA licensed wonderful breeder either.
