Christmas tree so far..

So 2 years ago our tree had an "accident" and ended up being thrown in the trash after Christmas, last year we were with the mother-in-law so we didn't need a tree. This year, since it is our first with Kovu, I found a 4ft, pre lit, tree on sale at Michael's for $20. So if it gets destroyed its not too big of a loss. Oh.. and Savannah safe ornaments. :)

I opened the tree box and this is what happened..

1) Oh a box! Let me noms on this!
2) Why am I noming when I could jump in it?
3) Oooo a tree, so many noms for me!

Don't worry, after snapping a picture I quickly discourage tree noms. We decided to put the tree in Elijah's room, instead of out in the open where Kovu could nom on it at night or during the work day.

Oh, and Elijah nearly died when Kovu jumped in the box. He was so afraid the tree would get "squished". Like it wasn't already from the packaging?! lol Video of THAT flip out to come later.

Ugh, good luck with that! I gave up on Christmas trees years ago, prior to that I had a 2 foot tree I would pull out Christmas am, put on the decorations, put it in my son's room with gifts underneath and close the door - he would wake up, open the presents, and the tree would be put away again.

Still wondering about the tree thing this year. I bought a beautiful 10' tree that's 6' across at the base and all new shatter proof ornaments. It's a beautiful tree and no one knows it's artificial. Managed to get the ornaments previous year at clearance, with the plan of a large tree for Great room. Need less to say, I now have close to $1500 invested so I could have the tree of my dreams.

Thinking I might put it up w/o ornaments and see what happens prior to decorating it. The idea of spending 2 days setting it up just to not be able to enjoy is a bit daunting.

Oh wow ... I don't even want to think about Abu and Zeus with a Xmas tree ... They get the Zoomies every day and I still here crashes and thuds ... I think tree goes in Daughters room, she has cockatiel and cats not allowed in there ever !!!
