Hi,

My vet want descaling my cat, and it need an operation of 24h. He is 9 year olds, cost 1200$.

It is not the price, I’m afraid he will never wake up again..(i know only 2.4 cats on 1000 dieds) a and it is the same thing for human.

Thanks

Any anesthesia has risk, it is true. Dental health though is important, the longer your cat keeps good healthy teeth, the longer they can eat normally and it has all sorts of other health implications.

Maybe talk to your vet about the sedation procedure they use, has your cat had full bloodwork to be sure he is completely healthy going into the procedure?
