So i have a question i have two F2 savannah kittens. They are getting lazy about eating there chicken and bone im worried im not sure what to do. i take the dry food away so they dont eat that in hopes of making them hungry enough to eat the chicken!

Also, what other meats can i give them? They love smoked ham they mew at me when ever im eating it but im too scared to give them any cause I dont want to make them sick! Just last night we gave them raw eggs and they love them! I want to try to give them shrimp but i just dont want to make them sick!

Please help!

I recommend you do a bit of reading to familiarize yourself with proper nutrition when feeding a raw diet. There is a ton of info in our diet forum here http://www.savannahcatchat.com/forums/savannah-cat-diet/
and two excellent sources of info are catinfo.org and catnutrition.org

Beef, buffalo, quail, cornish game hens, lamb, salmon are all possibilities depending on your cats' tastes. They might love something one minute and not eat it the next or hate it the first time they try something new and then like it when they get older.

It is important to your cats' health that they eat a balanced diet. That means they need dark muscle meat and organ meat. You can find the proper rations in the links I provided as well as in the reading material on our diet forum link above.

My cats used to love chicken and then they didn't...just like us, they get tired of the same ole, same ole.

it all depends on what you feed them...you can use bone meal or calcium...you need to do the reading as Deborah has indicated. There are plenty of supplements for feeding raw that contain calcium. Taurine is extremely important as well...they may be tired of chicken...you may want to try quail or rabbit as Deborah suggested...you haven't yet said what exactly you are feeding them.

Well I feed them raw chicken and purina one dry food an whiskas wet food with a calcium supplement. Its really expensive though. I gave them a raw egg the other night and they loved it.

On the raw eggs that they should get the yolk only. Egg white creates a vitamin deficiency when fed too often and should be lightly cooked.

What kind of chicken? Raw breasts, thighs, legs? And it seems you are also feeding canned and dry, so it is highly unlikely there would be any type of calcium deficiency. It all depends on how much raw vs canned they are getting.

YOu can get something like kitty bloom as a vitamin supplement...but it doesn't sound like you are feeding all raw, so that may not be necessary.

a little of everything. I give them bone once a day because they will waste it otherwise. Breast thighs and legs.

So on the eggs yolk only and lightly cooked right?
