Fly trap help

Marissa

Savannah Super Cat
Hello, so tegra thought jumping up off the counter to get the fly trap hanging from the ceiling tonight was a fun thing to do, needless to say I found her running around like crazy with the trap still attached and she is covered in goo. Any suggestions on what I should do? I read its not toxic, but I'm still slightly concerned. I have bathed her with conditioner and dove soap but I'm worried about irritating her skin. Would it be best to clip/shave the areas where it's worst?

Thank you ahead of time..

I would probably shave the effected areas if they are still sticky, otherwise she's just going to be a dirt magnet.

I am thinking that's what I have to do, it was one of those short cylindrical ones and they have so much goo on them, I don't think any solution is going to get through it :(

I've not heard that one before Pam, thanks!

It's a very old tip....I remember my mom using it on my brother's hair when he fell asleep with a mouth full o gum. Makes the hair greasy, but nothing a good shampooing won't remove....

Thank you for the help, I ended up using some skin so soft, and I tried the peanut butter, between the two I managed to get the smaller spots to loosen up, I had to trim one spot that was clumsier but you can barely tell. I can't believe I didn't get any pictures :(
