We are looking to get our F4 a walking jacket and one for the new kitten coming in June. Can you recommend any particular place that carries good ones for SVs?

I ordered mine online, and it is actually a dog harness. Brand name is Puppia, size S (Kronos is a 10lb F5). Google it and you will see they have tons of colors and styles.

I got a ferret walking jacket from Amazon for about $7 on Breheart and Kronos' advice and it's just perfect for Duma who is just 3 months old. It stretches enough that it should work for a few months with no problems.

Did you get the medium? I checked out the small and they have it on a rat! That may be a little small for a 12 week kitten, 'eh? :) Like you, I'd like to start her on a jacket early.

The last time I had a cat that was smart enough to go for a walk was 20y ago. Harnesses were basically made out of nylon string then! He got to the point where he didn't need a leash though. But walks were really slooooowwwww. He had to investigate absolutely everything.

Now, after watching 800000 episodes of Judge Judy where some stupid dog (that has never hurt anything ever, I promise) has almost eaten some other little dog, I won't take an inside cat outside without a leash. I'll also never put someone else's cell phone in my name  (so JJ IS good for something!)

These are what I start my kittens with. The medium is just the right size for kittens about 3 months old, and I also have the large size if needed. You can't beat the price, including leash!

Very nice Dantes and Pam! Glad that the ferret/guinea pig harnesses have proven to work on other young kittens.

I got the medium for my 12 week old kitten, and it has plenty of growing room. I'm expecting it to be good through at least 6-8 months, if not longer, due to the velcro straps and that it's a bit stretchy. And the color I got is a brownish that blends well with his coloring.

My ragdoll also walks on a leash, I started him at 12 weeks with a cheap training harness I found at petco (atlhough I don't recommend that one because it's not effective as an actual harness, and has little wiggle room, and it's the strappy kind). He now uses the same one that Kronos uses (we can fight later over who found it first! lol) it's Puppia, a dog harness that I got with the help of the ladies at the local pet shop we frequent. Since discovering Savannahs (thanks to Kronos ;) I ordered him one of the "fancy" hand made ones which I think might be cheaper than the Puppia. He's still growing so he'll outgrow the Puppia one soon.

My best friend loves JJ and always tells me her pointers--what a crackup!
