Height and weight

I realize that there are so many different variables, but would someone please take a stab at the average height and weight of an F2B male SV for me? I'm just curious, and a ballpark figure would be appreciated.

From everything I have read they are suppose to get up to 16 to 22 pounds and height varies. Our f2 female is lonnnnngg but at 6 months she only weighs 7 pounds.

The size of the mother as an adult is a pretty good indicator to get you in the ballpark. 16-22 lbs is a good ball park number, but there are always outliers which can be much larger or smaller.

You can ask Arden what she thinks...tell Hubby to take a look at the mother and father while he is there and he should be able to get an idea...

Nitro, whose owner frequently posts here, tracks his growth every few days (very cool). I believe Nitro is an F2 male, maybe larger than normal. He's now 20 lbs @11 months old. Shango just topped @ 8 lbs @20 weeks, Nitro was 10.2 lbs @ 20 weeks. So if Triton is like Shango, which I suspect he will be since they're of the same litter and appeared similar in size when I saw them both, I suspect 16-18 lbs full grown. Triton and Shango's F1 mom is 17 lbs as I recall, but she is nice and tall and long (like many F1's). Beautiful mom. I'm more curious myself on the height & length measurements, which are less known and recorded. Shango is at about 11.5 in at the shoulder now for any comparison. He's 15 in from neck to butt. Keep in mind he wants to play with the tape measure when I measure him, so let's say my accuracy is +/- 1 inch!

Shango is putting on 1 lb every 2 weeks consistently and appears to be eating more and more. I have to go get more raw chicken and gizzards as he's clearing out the freezer I bought just for his food! ..dj

If Triton is anything like Shango, I'll have to start my own chicken farm! :roflmao: Sounds like Shango's growing nicely! I was wondering if being hand-fed as a newborn would affect Triton's size, one way or the other, but from the sounds of things, I guess it didn't.

I don't think it would...Triton looks good sized in the recent pix. ..dj

I really reeeeally couldn't say! Abu is a big boy- Rob would have to jump on and give size- and Chumlee is a really big boy, BUT my F2 girls are NOT really big typically. Bigger then an average house cat, yes, but not like the boys IMHO.

Ooo, I like the name, Chumlee! Have you posted recent pictures of your babies? There's so much to investigate on this board, that I may have missed them. ~Mrs.CC~
