I have been a member on this site for only a few days, so I am trying to get familiar with the site and I happened to notice there were articles about F8 Savannahs. How far away from a Servile does this breed go before it becomes a Mau?

A Savannah doesn’t become a Mau because of it’s generation. A Mau is a completely different breed of cat. You can have an F100 Savannah if anyone cares to count that far. Once it’s an SBT it doesn’t really matter the filial generation, unless maybe for breeding purposes.

I have also noticed abbreviations and you use one here. What does SBT stand for?

You did a great job of simplifying. Your cats are gorgeous!!!! With your explanation Akila is F5A. Mother is a Savannah and father is an Egyptian Mau.
