I posted this so sad story on other lists, but wanted to post it here also.
With a broken heart I wanted to tell every one that my F2 Kenya died April 19, 2012, just 14 months young. She was the first time pregnant and had some complications. she started bleeding on day 58 gestation, losing two kittens on 61 days and with a C-section on day 64, had a miracle live boy.
Kenya did fine after the C-section but started to have problems with swallowing after several days more and more. Brought her to the vet and he send me home with meds, of course on a Friday night.. The whole weekend she was regurgitating and could not keep anything inside, no water no food. Real hard breaking to see... To make a heartbreaking long story short after vet visit and vet visit, she would have an operation to have a tube inserted so she could eat, because her throat was so swollen. She had the operation and her heart stopped, vet brought her back and her heart stopped again. Vet called me to ask what to do because Kenya was already in a coma. I told her to let her go if there was no hope anymore. Kenya died again and the vet told me the news.... All so heart breaking and so sudden to loose this great girl. I still have a real hard time to cope with this huge loss.
I tube fed her baby boy over a week now before I had a foster mom who accepted him. Still i am on guard to weigh him severel times a day and have to tube feed when he is not gaining enough. but I have high hopes that he will make it. He is in two days 3 weeks and going strong!!!
Pictures from Kenya are here if you want to see more of her: http://www.lequoiacats.com/LequoiaKenya.html

I will remember Kenya as a super sweet, easy going girl, full of life and so awesome with all other cats and kittens. Kenya will be greatly missed.
