It's a shame..

It is a shame That there are "breeders" out there who will actually sell their babies to pet shops that put them in small plexi glass boxes :( this poor little guy looks so stressed out. I came across a girl who worked for this pet shop and was talking to her online about it.. It's really a shame that people value the dollar sign and not where there poor babies end up and their well being.. :(

Oh the poor baby :-(

I can't imagine putting one of my precious kittens in a pet store for sale. And I can't imagine giving over the choice of home to people that would only care if the buyer had the necessary funds to purchase.

I think the same thing, this broke my heart and made me so mad at the same time that someone could breed these guys and send them off to have a pet shop give them their fate. How could you possibly not care about where babies end up... I can't imagine how much stress these kittens go through from leaving their home, to a cage to another home in a short time

This pet shop also supposedly had two serval cats kept in cages like this for a year because they couldn't sell them. At least that's what I had read in a review about this place.

Very very sad :-(

Not all breeders are the same. Some really do just sell for a price and never think about that kitten again. Some like me nag the new owners for regular updates and put prospective owners through the wringer to earn their kitten. But many would not want to go through my process so might be attracted to the instant gratification of going to a store and taking home a kitten immediately, no questions asked.

I am like Brigitte and get regular updates from my kitten buyers...I check often on the kittens to see how they are doing and thus get many pics of them as they grow.

I could NEVER let my kittens go to a pet shop or to anyone I was not sure would love them as I do...that being said, don't believe everything you read...

I don't see how anyone could do that. She looks so scared. :'(

We have had Kovu since February last year & I still send regular updates and pictures to the breeders we bought him from.

I wish I knew who this breeder or breeders were, I'd like the piece of mind to give them an earful, but even then I'd doubt it make a difference... Some people just don't see things the same.. And obviously don't care.
