Kitty rubbing on clothes.

Charlotte has ALWAYS loved to rub all over my shoes. She can do it for 20 mins straight easy... She also likes clothes from time to time. Today I had taken some shorts with me when I went to see the kitties so I could change (still no ac in new house) Charlotte went bonkers over my pants... Of course I videoed!

Desi, my giant ragdoll, loves shoes. Mostly my shoes, but generally anyone's shoes. He will escape to my closet just to lie in a pile of shoes. He will lie on any shoes left by the front door. And even if you haven't vacated them yet, he will lie on the shoes on your feet. It is clearly not about the feet--he detests the job of foot warmer--it is all about the shoes.

Duma, on the other hand, doesn't give a rat's ass about the shoes, but if a shoelace blows in the wind, it means ATTACK! and you better watch out....

(neither one cares about clothes or other fabrics much unless 1. the color is completely opposite of their own or 2. the fabric is such that it attracts the most cathair, and sticky rollers or washcloths or other means are not likely to pull it off.)

Ain't that the truth! Your two rules are also exponentially related to how important the event you are attending wearing said fabric or color, and your other clothing options in case the sticky rollers and wet washcloths do not remove the kitty's hair. You can also factor in time spent trying to remove the cat hair, and time left available to change to something else once you realize your efforts are futile ;) This is why I am usually late to most events!

In regards to the original post, does Charlotte only do it to your clothes and shoes? Or everyones? With the way she's going crazy over the pants it's almost as if she's scenting you, to be like "she's mine!" lol

Yup, kitties LOVE stinky clothes, and especially stinky shoes!!

Oh, yes they do! My DSH girl is our worst culprit for stinky socks theft....embarrassing to see my work socks strewn about the house from out of the dirty laundry basket, and I know they have to stink, lol!

Only mine! That's what is so weird lol she has done it to my fiancé's jacket before. But when I lived with my dad and his fiancé she left their clothes alone! And of course when I would dump a load of laundry on the bed to fold she's right in the middle!!
