Loose #2s

Remington Remi has loose #2s the last couple of days, same food.

Sorry, you will have to remind me - how old is Remi? Are there other cats in the household, or has he been exposed to other cats recently? Is he ever taken outside? Is your water filtered? Are his stools smellier than usual? If you feel there is little or no change that he has been exposed to infection I would try adding a bit of fiber such as unflavored psyllium (e.g. Metamucil) to his food to see if that will help bulk up his stools. Alternatively, you can try unflavored pumpkin or Slippery Elm. If it persists for more than a few days though I would have him checked out by a vet, even if he otherwise seems to be completely healthy.

Thank you so much for your reply, Remi is nine months old, a F4 girl, she seems back to normal, she didn't have any of her freeze dried raw treats at the time she was having problems, then I gave her some, The next day she was ok, I don't know if was that or it just ran its course. Thank you again so much for getting back.

I forgot to say, Remi is our only cat, we also have a Pom, they get along well, or at least reached an understanding. I would love to take her out side, but she has sliped every harness so far . I think I am going to order the Velcro harness as suggested here. Her diet is instinct raw boost dry, plus a can of the same.

It sounds like she might have gotten into something that didn't agree with her. In any case, the fact that she is back to normal is a good sign - I'm glad!!!

Thank you again for caring, I have another question, I had Remi spayed about five weeks ago, she doesn't seem to have the fire in her like she did before. Is this Normal?? I'm thinking it's a hormonal thing .

No it's not normal, I've never seen a cat's personality change because of a spay or neuter
You might consider having the vet take a look at her, maybe check some bloodwork to make sure she's not anemic or ??

Thanks Patti, I'm not saying she is like a reg. House cat, she just seems content with less exercise. I still work her out several times a day. But your advice I will take. She is such a good girl, and very smart. She sits, comes to her name, and is starting to fetch. I would love to tell you her story. I don't know if this is the correct place in this site.
