Fiercely firey Diva of All Divas and terrorist of 3 savannah cats went to the Rainbow Bridge today. She did not go quietly into that good night, oh no, not my spitfire Torbie. Even in the end stages of renal failure, she went kicking and screaming all the way. Just as we expected she would. What a blessing and miracle these past 4 years have been living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, surviving thyroid cancer, and refusing to give up even when her kidneys failed.
She died at home in her favorite place and when it was over, the vet and I shared tears and laughter about what a challenge she had been as a patient. Maggie had the dubious badge of honor for being the only animal in 25 yrs of practice to leave scars on my vet. That's my girl
