My Beloved Leo

Hi All,

I wanted to post a thread for my beloved Leo who passed away, Feb 8.

I am currently still seeing a bereavement counselor who has been a tremendous help. They also have a pet loss support group that has just formed that I am helping with. If you are interested in these type of groups you can check your local Hospice to see if they offer one or locally too you. This was recommended to me by one of the techs at the cat ER.

I also recommend this book:

Hopefully these resources will help others. Amazing how lucky we are to have them in our lives!

What a beautiful boy and his character was definitely captured in your images. So sorry for your loss and I'm glad you found some local help for your bereavement. No idea such a thing existed and it's great that you are out there helping others with their loss.

Remember that every day gets easier although we never forget. The memories of his passing fade and are replaced by memories of those happier days that bring a smile to your face and warm your heart. We are very blessed to share the lives of these enchanting creatures as I'm certain that Leo felt blessed to be part of yours.

Rest in Peace Leo.

You were blessed to have each other. And how fortunate you are Karen to have such talent to capture his beauty and spirit in photos.

Thank you all so much for all your kind words. Leo was probably photographed as much as mine, we visited him every weekend before he came to live with us and he was photographed every time. He was so much more than beautiful but I am very glad that it showed through in my photographs. Originally, all his siblings were purchased (spotted) and even other bengal kittens that were younger were purchased and he was left behind. No one wanted him, and I didn't get it. I wanted so much for everyone to see how beautiful marbles really are and how stunning he became. I actually didn't know myself until I met him in person for the first time. I am still going through all of the photographs from the last several years, but it's been very difficult to go through. I'm going to create a memorial display for my home once I finish. We never had a cat like that. He was so smart and so intuitive. it's been very difficult for myself and my husband, we lost him way too soon. I do hope these links help someone else, I didn't know such things existed either but it does help to deal with so many unanswered questions and so many different emotions and the huge loss.

Thank you all again and to provide a place for this. I really appreciate it.
