Not burying feces?

We have noticed the last 2 times we go to clean Callie's litter box out, she hasn't buried her poop. She has in the past so I'm not sure why she isn't?

It's not uncommon for some cats not to bury their poop. I never really paid attention to see if it could be an intermittent behavior, but it isn't anything I would worry about.

I think I read somewhere that when a cat is confident they don't feel the need to cover their poop. That covering the poop is an instinct to prevent predators finding them or something...so when they don't think there is a predator they don't cover. Most of mine don't cover poops, not even my British Shorthair... unless it is Baz trying to get attention by flinging the litter all over! LOL!
