Raw Diet / Canned Foods / Dry Food Combinations?

My cats are free fed Royal Canin Special 33. Then they get breakfast which is raw meat for those that like it (Rad Cat brand Chicken or Lamb or Turkey and Small Batch Rabbit) or canned (Nutro California Chicken Supreme), they also get raw meat for dinner. Some of my cats don't like raw meat, others do not like canned, still others do not like kibble (dry) so I feed a variety of foods. Plus they get freeze dried beef hearts, beef livers and chicken for treats a few times a day.

Thats what i feed Tojo. The frozen raw. He goes crazy over the Duck
Thanks for letting me know how much Tojo loves the duck. There's so many of them, you never really know which one to try out. I'll have to try the Duck and see how Shelby likes it. Hopefully he likes it as much as Tojo does. So far we've tried the chicken and salmon which Shelby really likes. And, we've tried out the Rabbit. I don't know if it's an acquired taste or what, but Shelby wasn't interested in the Rabbit at all, it smells like wet grass lol. We still have a full bag of the Rabbit, so I'll have to try it again. If he's still not interested in it again then maybe I can mix it with his canned food rather than giving it all to him separately.

Scott, I wonder if Shelby is eating enough...he should be fed as much as he can eat as a kitten...otherwise your routine looks great!

I cannot describe my feeding routine right now because it is all discombobulated...Zuri needs as much high quality, high calorie food I can give her since she is nursing...the kittens are beginning to eat, but not much yet...Zuri gets ground raw quail, glop, RC with ground cooked chicken, Proplan, RC babycat canned and dry, etc. And Taj tries to steal her food and the food I put down for Zuri and the kittens ;)

I have avoided fish and beef with Tojo since he vomited them both up once. He likes all the other varieties. I havent tried chicken for awhile so will prob get some of that soon. I give him Ziwipeak the "airdryed" also once in awhile but it seems more expensive than even the NV frozen so not daily. SInce he doesnt get kibble he always looks funny at the ZP at first and then dives in. Im actually leaving this minute to go out of town for a week and will miss him dearly. Hopefully my son will take good care of him while I'm gone :)

When I feel guilty about leaving the cats, I sneak a peeled frozen shrimp somewhere easy to find. I don't know who gets it, but it keeps them from missing me (LOL) and out of my drawers, computer, bathroom closet, art studio and bedroom! They start looking for the shrimp as they watch the car pull out.

I used to live in the Sierra foothills. Where are you going?

We went to Twin Lakes outside Bridgeport. I caught lots of fish and the biggest was 3 1/2 pounds! So fun and relaxing. Now home and waiting for Tojo to forgive me for leaving him for 7 days :(
