RIP Tau

This past few weeks has been an emotional roller coaster with Tau our male F4 Savannah being sick. We did everything we could to get him comfortable and tried everything the vet suggested to get him to rebound. He took a turn for the worse while at the vet getting an all-day IV and by late afternoon had fluid in his lungs. His kidneys failed and heart disease set in. We thought we had more time with him since the breeder said Savannahs last 20 to 25 years. Tau passed and crossed the rainbow bridge at about 5:15pm November 22, 2023. The girls and I were there by his side. To say we are heartbroken is an understatement. As sad as we are, we are so thankful he is no longer suffering. It is so hard to watch the deterioration happen so fast. I am so honored Tau chose us to be his family. Tau chose my fiancé Julia at the breeder when he was a kitten. He had no idea Julia was a dog person. She disliked cats but he converted her to a savannah mom and they were inseparable. He slept by her side every night since we brought him home from the breeder. Tau brought a lot of love, laughter, fun, and some destruction into our home. Tau had the most amazing personality and is the most intelligent animal we ever experienced. We love the 11+ years we had with him and will cherish all the memories. I know he loved all the attention from our friends and family over the years. We will miss Tau dearly. We all miss our constant. #f4savannah #fuckkidneydisease

I am so very sorry and saddened to hear your devastating news of the loss of Tau, sending prayers and healing to you and your family at this awful time. I hope you can take comfort from knowing that you gave him the best life full of love and care and you were there with him until the end. May he run free over the rainbow bridge until you meet again.

So sorry to hear... They are Great Friends and they all leave Paw Prints on our hearts... They say all Dogs go to heaven... I believe all cats do as well. He is certainly in Heaven now and is having the time of his life hoping to see you soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss of Tau! What a beautiful baby he was! We do everything we can, but sometimes it isn't enough and we don't want them to suffer. May Tau RIP
