Savannah and peeing

I have a almost 18 month old Savannah. When I leave my bedroom door open and go to work for a couple of hours, she goes in my room and pees on my bed. Now I have to leave the door closed. I figure she is mad at me for leaving. Does anyone else have this problem.

Is she new to your home or have you had her since she was a kitten and this is a new behavior? Is she spayed? Do you have a down comforter or pillows on your bed? Cats love to pee on anything made of down. Be sure to wash everything with a strong enzyme cleaner such as Anti-Icky-Poo or Unique Distributors - down through the mattress if needed. Also, do you have a litterbox in your bedroom? If not, you might want to consider putting one in there, and using Cat Attract litter or additive to see it that will encourage her to go in the appropriate place.

I had a habitual bed pee'er and ended up putting a waterproof tarp over the bed when I wasn't in it. It took me about a year before I could trust him not to pee on the bed any longer but he eventually un-learned the behavior.
