well, taj has now decided he likes to roll in the dirt every time he sees a dirt patch on his daily walks...today he started rolling around in the litterbox...I did change his litter to the Paws and Claws by Tractor Supply and it is clay, so I'm sure it feels good to him, but...why is he doing this all of a sudden? Waaahhh...I have to give him a bath now every time we come back from a walk.

It must feel good to him... but ugh on him also rolling in the clay litter, that isn't fun for you to have to clean him :-(

My Chuju loves to roll in dirt too. I have to wipe him down or bathe him constantly. His coat always looks sticky.

He is trying to blend his scent in with nature, he is a hunter after all :)

Aren't our cats funny creatures??? Taj has been walking on a leash for over 2 years and NOW he decides it is fun to roll in the dirt???

Lol sorry Paige that sounds yucky! hopefully the litter box rolling only happened while it was empty rather than a used litter box :( My ferret LOVES burrowing in litter boxes all the time, and she doesn't care if its clean or dirty! yuck.. I am in habit by now when she is out to hide all of them out of her reach first. Annoying messes to clean up!

The litter box had just been cleaned, Bre, so lucky me!!! That's funny about your ferret! Taj has NEVER rolled in the litter box before...it must be the new litter and he must be liking how the dirt and litter feel....he is so silly ;) And so is your ferret!

Hmm...have you been thinking about taking him out in public, such as a show? My old show horse would always conveniently roll onto some manure the day before a show, guaranteeing a full bath ;)
