So I found this guy in a Shelter.

My mother brought this to my attention from a shelter she watches on Facebook. I couldn't believe my eyes. The city he is in is about 2 hours away, but I'm going to call to see if he is still available, although I doubt it. He is 12 weeks old. I have no idea how a Savannah kitten could have ended up in a shelter. Blows my mind.

I have absolutely no idea if he is a Savannah or a Bengal. I was guessing by looking at his print. He looks like he has savannah spots. I'm still the same amount surprised if he is a Bengal. Bengals are expensive cats as well if I'm not mistaken.

Although rosetted spots are preferred in the Bengal breed, they are not required and you do see solid spotted Bengals commonly enough, and even in show rings. Pattern is NOT a determining trait for the Savannah breed, as there are too many other domestic cat breeds that are spotted (Ocicat, Egyptian Mau, Oriental Shorthair, Serengeti...) as well as the spotted tabby occurring just in the domestic shorthair population.

I would definitely check it out....Sometimes people have to get rid of a pet fast so they go to the shelter or put a ad in the paper. There was a beautiful F2 male in the city paper here a couple years ago.... ad stating free to good home because of divorce and good not bring in rented apartment. A co-worker told me about it but I was too late somebody grabbed it....so you never know!

He's adorable! I can't believe someone would let him go! Scarf him up if you can. We have a Bengal also, and she's a great pet.
