The Cat Coach, Marilyn Krieger, will take your questions beginning May 1st through May 8th. Marilyn is a member of the savannah cat chat forum and has graciously volunteered her time to help our community by taklng questions on savannah cat behavior using a combination of positive reinforcement methods.

MARILYN KRIEGER, CCBC
Marilyn Krieger, Certified Cat Behavior Consultant and owner of The Cat Coach, LLC® (www.thecatcoach.com ) solves cat behavior problems through on-site and phone consultations. Marilyn works directly with clients as well as through veterinarian referrals. She uses a combination of positive reinforcement methods, including behavior modification, training, management and education.

Her book, Naughty No More!(http://tinyurl.com/76e7639) focuses on changing unwanted cat behaviors through clicker training, environmental management and other positive reinforcement based methods. Naughty No More! won the Tidy Cats Feline Behavior award and Muse Medallion in the Cat Writers Association 2011 Communication Contest and won the 2012 about.com’s Readers Choice Award for best cat behavior book. Additionally, Marilyn writes the monthly behavior columns for Cat Fancy Magazine and the weekly cat behavior columns for catchannel.com and has contributed articles and columns to USA Today, Catnip, the Tufts University publication, Animal Behavior Consulting: Theory and Practice, the IAABC journal and other publications.

In addition to consulting and writing, Marilyn teaches classes and lectures nationally on cat behavior. She frequently guests on television and radio programs, providing valuable tips and insight on how to improve cat behavior. Marilyn has appeared on Animal Planet’s Cats 101, discussing cat behavior and showcasing clicker training. Her expertise also has received national and regional media attention from such outlets as USA Today, the San Francisco Chronicle, MSNBC, KGO Radio, ABC, CBS and others.

Marilyn is certified through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants where she co-chairs the cat division and is a former member of the Board of Directors. Marilyn is also on the advisory board for NBC’s Petside.com.
