I have so far tried 6 different brands of can food that are considered high quality and Layla didnt like any and I had to resort to Fancy Feast... I was then introduced to Weruva and Layla loves it. After some research I am hearing it's made in Taiwan and the quality is all hype... I am so tired and frustrated lol can anyone clarify if this brand (chicken) is ok to feed constantly to a Savannah?

We also tried raw diet with so so success. Layla has been with us for 3 weeks and at 17 weeks old she weighed in at 4.7 pounds which the breeder freaked out when I told her since she weighed at 4.5 pounds at 14 weeks when we got her. Layla wont touch dry food much and I have already switched to another brand...

Correction, it's made in Thailand. I will switch her for now and hope its a healthy food. Rascaldad, I will mix in some fancy feast as well but I was concerned when she had not gained weight and the breeder was certain it had to do with ff. how often do you feed your kittens? She told me 3 times a day is not enough and maybe 5 times a day?? For an f2 at 17 weeks weighing below 5 pounds was surprising to the breeder.

You just may not be feeding enough and it has nothing to do with Weruva or FF...5 times a day is too much - it is not necessary...you can feed more per meal...how much do you give per meal now?

She gets a 3 oz can and some food is still left over and she finishes it later. I am going to mix in hard food as well since she doesn't eat much of it. She has a follow up appointment tomorrow, we ll see if she has put on weight.

You can try grinding up some dry food and adding to the wet - IF she will eat it...please let us know how she does at the vet.

You are welcome, Sam...also, have you tried stella and chewy's? made in the USA by a woman who started her own company, it is a small company and the food is freeze-dried raw...my kittens and cats love it! Something to consider down the road...
