Hi there! New member and first time Savannah owner here. (What a great site this is! Been lurking for awhile now...) This is my soon-to-be F2 kitty from Amanukatz. He arrives in the next few weeks, and I can't wait! Anyway, these are pictures the breeder took and have posted on her website and I just cannot figure out his coloring. Is he a BST who's just having a weird day? Any thoughts would be great!

What color are his parents? Are either silver? He looks very pale so might be a silver spotted tabby instead... but then his tail tip doesn't look completely black in that picture...if it is brown rather than black he might even be a chocolate silver spotted tabby...

His mama is silver, and his dad is a nice (big!) brown.
Is he this? Is he that? These are the things that have been running back and forth in my mind! (With the limited knowledge that I have.) Not that it matters so much, he seems to be the sweetest boy and I can't wait to bring him home. Still, I have to spend these last few weeks thinking about something! So I figured I would bring the question here, to share my preoccupation with some of you fine folks :)

He looks very pale around the face...I don't breed silvers so can't say for sure but maybe some of the other breeders will chime in here that do breed silvers! I've seen a few shown that had even the judges confused as they were so halfway between BST and SST... if you can see him in person, part the fur. A silver will have a very white base to the coat, while a BST will be more gray or beige...

Welcome Alexandria! We where looking at this guys brother, what a little cutie he is! From looking at SO many pictures after we decided we wanted a SV in the house (Maybe to own the house is more like it) we noticed the various SV's looking very different in coloring depending on the photo, maybe lighting or what not. We've seen his pictures out on the breeder's site, what a ham!! :)

So glad to see you here and cannot wait to see his progress and how he grows. We kind of have an grown a little attachment to him... he's just so darn cute!

Brigitte suggested that, too! Now I'm not exactly sure what would look like, but I can guess and I'll bet he's going to grow into a beautiful boy :)
