Studies tend to show early neutering results in more growth, in males the production of the male hormones closes the growth plates. Some breeders hence advocate late neutering with the idea that this results in stronger bones...as they worry that leaving the growth plates open longer in the case of early neutering might lead to longer weaker bones. I don't think there are any studies showing bone weakness with early neutering though...

This is my understanding as well Brigitte, early neutering promotes growth/size and has no negative impact on bone development.

Some breeders fix the kitten before of option and some recommend doing it at 6-8 mo to promote hormonal optimal development. The kittens gain weight after fixing them in a different way then muscle mass ...
Not all growth is healthy and optimal.

Thank you for the Mohave info
There is only one breeder out there
She gave the name and formulated her own breed
In the breading industry it is rare to have only one breeder out there
She does not sell breading wright !!!
She fixes them before purchase mandatory .

I am not sure anyone can calculate the genetic % makeup if those cats
Wondering how other breeders see this breed and compare it with the well defined wild % ones.
What is the real make up of the Mohave cats and what is their real cost value.
Therapy pest can be trained in different breeds .

If anyone has an opinion out here beyond the web of the breeder who created it I like to hear it.

before 9 mo , so they don't spray.
Might consider 3rd cat
Looking at savannha Bengal and jag Mohave cat?
What is the input on jag cats?
Some look like overpriced bengals ?

I am not sure i call it a breed, considering how many different cat breeds are used in its development.

The cats are not registered with an established cat association.

I guess the kittens are worth what someone is willing to pay
