Hello Admin

From what I read carrots, peas and green beans are good veggies for cats. Ads fibre to their diet. Also, I always see little pieces of carrots and peas in their can food. So I figured it would be good to ad to their chicken mix.

Cats are obligate carnivores, so they really have no use for any carbohydrates/veggies. Veggies and starches are added to kibble to bind it, and to keep the price down. They are mainly just filler. If you think about it, a chicken doesn't really eat carrots and peas, so your cat wouldn't be getting any kind of carrots/peas.

I know cats are carnivores. To my knowledge chickens will eat just about anything. I was thinking more along the lines that cats love to eat grass. If you think about it, carrots, peas and beans are just like grass, Lol.

Early this month I bought a tub of Cat grass from Pet Smart for under $8.00 and put it on a shelf with another plant by a window ,as soon as it grew our F2B male found it and knocked it off the shelf, I don't know if he can smell the cat grass but he did take a special interest in it and would sneak in to take a few bites every chance he got, last Sunday I put it on the floor for him to enjoy for a while, it will be planted in the cats outdoor enclosure this spring.
