Hello all! I've been a longtime watcher of the board but just recently signed up to ask some health care questions about my Savannah named Chewie. He's getting older as he just turned 10 this past May.

Just wanted to say hi from the our family to everyone else's and hopefully gain some knowledge from others who have more experience with Savannah's.

We are glad to be apart of the group and hope that you can check my post in the health section and offer any advice that you may have!

Thanks glad to be apart of it. I'm working on posting a better picture but Chewie is unbelievably camera shy and HATES having his photo snapped, thus the incredibly poor pic from my phone. I'm also currently computer less so I will have to get to a friends house to upload some better ones.

Glad to be a part of the board. I also find that most people have no idea just how unique and different Savannah's are from other types of domestic cats. My cousin and aunt who are both huge cat lovers are amazed at the different mannerisms and noises that a Savannah makes/shows etc. My aunt went so far as to call them 'undomesticated' but not feral! Lol.

Savannahs are in their own league and it takes a different type of owner in comparison to other breeds! I'm proud to be a part of that group of people.

I think that I will find myself owning a Savannah for as long as I myself roam the earth! They are some of the most interesting members of all our family's in my opinion. My family has a Savannah, black lab, and just recently lost a basset hound to old age. That was quite a bit of diversity and truly speaks to the savannahs ability to fit into any lifestyle or family environment. I guess our house is just full of eccentric personalities!!

I would not say eccentric Ben, just adventurous. I have 2 Savannahs, soon to be 3. I have had cats all my adult life. These are my first SVs. I love the breed. Not because of their "spots", but because of their personalities.

Welcome along Ben, you will find the forum so helpful. I am a new SV owner myself and couldn't agree more about how different they are - amazing, rare and precious. We love photos here but if Chewie hates his picture being taken that much we will just have to live without them! He looks cute in a fuzzy sort of way! Lol :)
