Clumsy - Uncoordinated

It's like just because you have a lean muscular athletic body does not mean that you are a great athlete! Savannah cats are like the really tall kids that should be great at basketball or volley ball but just aren't!

Lol, that made me think of Napoleon Dynamite dancing, not sure why, but I think it fits!

Poki is also surprisingly clumsy at times - and does some extremely impressive acrobatics at other times. I think it depends on their mood at the time haha!

So, I think Robin Sparkles is broken. I have never seen a cat so clumsy!! I’m laughing at her daily for falling off of things (not high) or jumping and totally missing the “stick” landing. I keep telling my self it’s because she’s young (7months) and she’s still getting used to her long, growing body, but maybe a part of me isn’t so convinced. I mean she is pretty agile and does do some pretty incredible things, but there’s an awful lot of falling along the way too.

Just curious!!

My 1yr. old F2 is the same way. I have had cats all my life, but have never seen a cat as clumsy as he is. He doesn’t even always land on his feet if he does fall like other cats do. My husband and I had decided he was a little “challenged” or “not quite right.” My husband said, “Maybe he is just a little slow.”
My vet said’ “Oh, I bet he is really smart.” I wanted to say, Not really. Unless getting in to stuff counts as smart.” LOL It’s good to know we are not alone.

I think it is a lack of concentration. Jumping is so easy for them, they can make the most difficult jumps...so I think they don't pay attention when making what should be a simple jump. It never seems to be the difficult ones they flub, only the simple ones!

That’s a pretty accurate statement!

LOL. I was going to say it's because of their intense focus. When mine are running across the bed to greet me or running across the kitchen counter for something like a treat, they forget about edges and fall off. Same with certain toys. Chasing a moving toy seems to consume all their focus to the point where they don't notice the wall or piece of furniture they're about to run into.

Amara's concentration is perfect. It's her ability in multi tasking she lacks. The world goes dark except what she is concentrating on.

Amara" wat was that did it just move iisss gonna get et." Tunnel vision activated: crash boom bang. Amara " wat the bleep where did that bleeping cliff com from, now weres mah toy there et is" tunnel vision activated: crash. Amara "oh bleep my pet watched all that how tha bleep did I miss that step, to bleep with that toy" embarrassed mode activated: Amara walks off in embarrassment.

And all that happens in a blink of a eye and yes I imagine when she screws up she talks like a sailor.
