Both papers and pedigrees are things that if you haven't a prior agreement on, you don't have a right to.

I have not put words in your mouth, but am sorry your feelings are hurt by my opinion of your situation. Maybe you should think first before expressing your opinion that people are only in this for greed and ego then as that seems pretty hurtful language to me.

I don't know why you want to argue about this. I am not sure what your point is or what you are trying to achieve here. It doesn't seem to me like you want to learn more about Savannahs, which is why this forum exists.
We were arguing?
Just looking for answers, for instance,
Who says I don't gave a right to? Could you point me to that particular legal pont of contract law? I do keep mentioning, l am not bound by a contract.
And yes, putting words in my mouth, as you still are, Never once did I say "everyone was operating on ego and greed" but many are, just a fact.
Also, pretty sure this thread was about papers. Well, about knowing pedigree if nothing else.

Could you point out what is not factual? Because I'm pretty sure I stuck with facts for the most part. I'm mostly interested in what I said that was'ridiculous' I mean, I am certainly not too old to learn new things.
But while commenting, please keep in ind that cats have saved many crops so you could eat, (fact) and that farmers etc place ads all the time for barn cats(fact) And these will be outside cats fending for themselfs (fact)
but I am only guessing what may have offended you, wasn't intentional
If you think all that you wrote are facts, can you provide real references to your data then? For me, it was such a long diatribe, addressing each and every "fact" is exhausting.

Your claim for example that the only benefit to neutering is avoiding testicular cancer? Wrong, the benefit to a neutered male is much more than that. They are a better pet by being able to enjoy their lives without needing to go out and find females which generally leads them into fights with other males and and early death from such fights or contracting FIV/FeLV from fighting with strange cats. They actually can be happy indoor pets without needing to go outside. Their lifespan doubles by being an indoor only pet. They don't pee all over the place and they don't stink to high heaven. Also good things and I perceive that as benefits to an animal thought to be a pet.

So when you consider your opinion as fact, others may disagree.

When you say that the only intact female you have ever known to have had pyometra, do you actually have necropsies on EVERY female cat you have ever owned or had on your farm? Do you know the fate of every barn cat you've had born there?

I spent much of my growing years on a farm, but that doesn't mean I think my Savannahs should be barn cats nor do I think it a better life for them.

But I suspect you are just here for a fight, and I'm not in the mood to give it to you. So this is my last comment on your nonsense.

Wow, I think many times, what one other accuses one other of is actually betraying their intents.
I may agree with some of what you say,(and I do) but much of what you say is for the "pet owners' benefit, not the cats. As is so often the case. Why one see's things like de-clawing, an inhuman act that is the equivalent of one having their fingers cut off.
Yes nature is cruel, sad but true, but those are the healthiest and strongest cats you will ever see on those farms as a rule.
And of course no one thinks your savannahs should be a barn cat. That was kinda funny actually, made me laugh anyway.
And whether you think so or not, many breeders are breeding weakness into their stock. OH wait, have to be careful here, not all !

By the way, pyometria is not an infection at the onset , it is a hormonal imbalance. The infection is secondary. And actually garlic and vitamine C along with red meat are good preventatives
Also, never once has a male cat here killed another male. Although this one crazy Bengal I have thinks no other cat should use any of the litter boxes except her. So one of my other cats split her ear pretty good the other day. But for the most part they get along pretty good. :)
Oh and my nuetered male Bengal sprays all over the place, sorry, couldn't help it, (is true) few understand my sense of humor, but my kitties think I'm funny.

I totally agree Brigitte, this person is clearly ranting and is obviously uninformed. I feel very sorry for her poor cats as clearly there is no reasoning with her/him :-(

Mickey, as the admin here (and owner), I need to step in...this thread was about papers, but you mentioned that the breeder wanted the cat she raised, spayed and you were not going to do it, which led to questions and answers and went downhill from there...

you keep generalizing by saying "many" or "most" - you have no facts to back up your statements...I have no idea what you are trying to do or say and while we all respect the right of people to speak their minds, this forum is not here for this type of diatribe and argumentative rhetoric that is not about savannah cats at all...

While we respect others' opinions and thoughts, I am not going to continue to allow this discussion..it is obvious to me you are anti-breeder and that is your prerogative, but don't expect to get any help or sympathy with that type of mentality...
