Dragging stuff into litter box?

I picked up a 99L, clear sterilite bin.
I got half the box of litter in, then nova jumped into the new box and had a number 2.
Zero issues changing out the old one with the new.
In fact I think he likes this one much more because he can actually move around in it.
Now, if I could only get him to bury it afterwards!

Gotta love my wife though.
She picked Nova up, showed him his litter box, then reached in and buried his business for him.... I think he expects her to come in now and do it for him.

Some cats never cover. Our boy Dooley is very particular about the hole he clears in the litter, but after he pinches a loaf or takes a wizz he's done and out of there. I've done the instruction bit and I believe his retort was "whatever dude". We have since given up and didn't want to push the subject as we don't want the wrong result and litterbox aversion.

Now for the most important thing and your best chance to find a remedy for this issue. In our home we have a litter monitor, his name is Dino. He is Dooley's older brother (same parents, different litter) and a super tidy cat. When Dooley leaves a deuce uncovered, Dino will take care of it inside of 15 minutes. Pee is a different story, maybe he covers it and maybe he doesn't. So I would like to be the first to congratulate you on your next Savannah and Nova is looking forward to the new friend.
