F3C males

I was just wondering if anyone can post pictures of their adult F3 males. I'm just curious to see the size difference in that generation. I have a 5 month old that's 8.2 pounds, he's tall and thin.

There are a lot of pics here http://www.savannahcatchat.com/threads/f3-pics.268/

Tall and thin is the proper body type for an SV. How big your cat gets depends on what outcrosses may appear in his family tree as well as the random mix of genes he inherited from his parents. I've seen huge differences in sizes of F3s -- some as big as F1s and F2s, others the size of a domestic shorthair.

Most housecats are full size (length and height) by a year old. A Savannah will continue to grow for up to 3 years. He should be pretty much full height/length by 2 years old and will spend the last year gaining muscle weight and filling out. At 5 months old, your boy is still very much a kitten and there is really no predicting what size he will be.

I have a F3C female who is 16 lbs at 4 years old. She was really sick at 2 years old with liver fibrosis so it is difficult to chart her growth and compare it to the growth of your boy but she definitely had a growth spurt (gained height and length) right before her 3rd birthday and continued to gain weight and fill out (again delayed because of her illness) going into her 4th year.
