What is a good brand or type I bought one at walmart but he gets out of it so easily.

Hyendry and Mynwood walking jackets are both used by a lot of folks here. Both were designed for escape artists like savannahs! There is one more brand that is popular but the name escapes me. You need to make sure that the belly strap is TIGHT. If he can slip an elbow thru there, he can get loose.

Also, they tend to escape by backing out of the jacket so you need to make sure that that scenario does not occur! You see him face you and back up, you give the leash plenty of slack so that he cant.
