Dog or baby teething toys can work great for teething kittens. Be sure there are no small parts on any toy that may break off, and inspect each toy after play to be sure. Toss the toy he has chewed a piece out of...better safe than sorry.
You can try sprinkling ground black pepper liberally around the areas the cords he is trying to chew on are. This works great at our house.

Thanks everyone! It was so interesting watching him grow from a fuzzy grey kitty into the heartbreaker he is today. I didn't even know smokes were a thing until our breeder informed us, but as soon as I saw what they looked like I knew it was the coat we wanted, so its been a very patient process waiting since before he was even born!
We did pick up some puppy toyd that he's shown some interest in, though not as much as his catnip-infused kitty alternatives. I've tried sprinkling some nip on them with some success, and think I will pick up some catnip spray as well for good measure.
As for the bitter spray we are holding off on that so as not to put more stress on him with his small prolapse issue. We removed any and all cords (even if he didnt chew them) as well as the metal lamppost he was so fond of in the meantime. He still chews on the edges of the crate from time to time so I might remove that as well, but the hard plastic shouldn't be problematic should it? (We removed the metal door so he cant chew it or hurt himself playing around it)
