Hello! Kovu is my new Hp male F2 ..

I would first like to say thank you for this site. I put an ad out months ago and was contacted early December about a Savannah needing to be rehomed.
Hello fellow cat worshippers :) .. I just recently purchased my first Savannah.... my dream has come true! He is a 1 yr old, silver 36% F2 .. He is stunning :) He joins my F2 Jungle Cat, a mischievous Bengal and 5 domestic rescue babies!

Today is day 5 and things are getting a lot better. We keep Kovu in a separate room with his belongings and let him out to explore the house and interact with the other cats several times a day.

I am open to all and any advice or suggestions. I am sure I will have many questions as we move forward :)

Welcome and congratulations on your new Savannah!

Generally quarantine of a new cat should be longer than you are doing... even for an adult cat. Two weeks of quarantine gives the cat a lower stress time to listen to the household, smell the other cats AND come to bond to you closely before there is the distraction of other kitty friends. Boredom is a great motivator. This also allows the other cats to do the same. Not saying it won't work rushing things like you have, just the general rule is slower is safer.

Best of luck and hope to see your gorgeous silver boy in pics here soon :)
