Hello! I'm Kim, my husband and I are raising our rather large family in beautiful Bozeman MT (five human kiddos). I was a vet tech for several years after college and was always intrigued by the Bengal and Savannah breeds. We purchased our first Savannah, an F1, 4 years ago and an F6 2 years ago. I recognize many of you from the Yahoo Groups, and always appreciated how helpful and kind many of you are. Thank you!

In 2012, we made plans to purchase our first foundation female for our family's hobby breeding program (F2s only). We're *easing* into breeding and learning all we can along the way!!

I leave this Friday to fly to Florida to bring home our beautiful queen from Doreen at DrinkWater Savannahs. Once I figure out how to post a pic here I'll be "oversharing" pics I'm sure :)

Welcome Kim! It sounds like you have a good plan in place for starting up your breeding program. Are you a member of the Savannah breed mentors Yahoo group? If not, you might want to join. You can post pics by clicking the 'Upload a File' button under the message box you type in.

This is the most recent picture of Avalon (7 weeks old). We're flying down for a nice long weekend of fun (12 and 10 year old are coming with) in Florida and then bringing her home! We are all so excited to have her join our family.

Welcome, Kim! Best of luck with your new girl...what a beauty! Sounds like this is a well-thought out endeavor for you and your family. I hope you all enjoy your Florida trip and I look forward to more pics of Avalon :)

The Mentors email list link is http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/SVBreedMentors/ , when you click to join you will be autosent a questionnaire to fill out and email back. Let me know if you don't get it, sometimes Yahoogroups mucks up! We have to restrict membership to those that have purchased at least one breeding cat, that is one of the questions we ask... that way it stays a small cohesive group where you can ask lots of questions. Have fun on your trip to Florida!
