I hope whoever beat the momma rots in hell. Your aunt is a lifesaver. Keep those babes with mom until they are at least 12 weeks old. I assume you're working with a vet or someone who knows how to transition to them to solids when they are ready to be weaned as well when to give them their vaccines. Thanks for giving them all a home where they are safe until old enough to go to their permanent homes.

Yes they are follow by a vet, but we live in a small town and the vet don't know much about Savannah, that is why I asked if you could help with the question : Gaspard ( the kitten) is he or not a Savannah cat?

You do not need a special vet. A savannah cat/kitten can be treated just like any other cat/kitten. Thank you so much for taking care of them!

We'll be better able to tell you if Gaspard (I love the name) is a Savannah when he's a bit older. His mother looks as though she is a silver Savannah.

No, you are doing great and write English way better than my French (yet I've been married to a Frenchman for 16 years now).

You do not need to know anything special, the health needs of a Savannah is no different from any other domestic cat breed. Whether the kitten's mom is a Savannah or not, it won't change how you treat those kittens. As others have said, keep babies with mama for some time yet. They need to learn from her and from their siblings how to go on in life. Let them have two vaccinations before thinking of taking to your home. 12 weeks is my minimum, I find though that if you can wait until 16 weeks you usually have a more confident outgoing kitten but I would also understand your aunt wishing to have a quieter household and a litter of high energy kittens is quite something! LOL!

Bless your aunt for rescuing this poor kitty and her babies! Do you know what happened to the the father of the litter?

It is very hard to tell from the baby pics what breed your kitty is, but mama could possibly be an 'A' or 'B' Savannah cat (one who has one non-Savannah parent, or who has one or more non-Savannah grandparents). Either way, he is definitely a cutie!!!
