Help! My cat wants to eat my new puppy /(

It sounds like your kitty sees your son as a playmate, and has an understanding of what is acceptable (gentle bites) and what is not. This is what you want him to learn with your new puppy as well. As the others have explained, adequate quarantine followed by proper introductions is essential. It is very important that the puppy doesn't learn to fear the cat because if he starts acting afraid and/or running away from him, he will be seen as prey and the hunt will be on...

Yeah, Jumping on the back, and nipping the back of the neck is pretty standard procedure with SV's bonding and hammering out dominance. Freaked me out, first time my 5 year old F3, pounced on Rufio, a mere F2 kitten. I needn't of worried, sister Tink was never far away.

Gentle, is one of the first words I try to teach me fur kids. :roflmao: but as Stated, proper introductions and quarantine procedures are a must, when introducing new members of the family. I kept the twins in quarantine fur 3 months before allowing them full integration to the family.

Also when my 10 year old son lie himself on the floor hi jumps on his back biting gently his back and making strange noises? Does hi think that my son is his meal or is hi doing the other stuff :)?

Your F2 boy is neutered, right?

That kind of behavior can be a dominance behavior in cats, so like the dogs that hump each other in the doggy park, it's not always sexual but a way of saying they are boss.

But some cats (and dogs) do seem to go through the "motions" in a seemingly more sexual way...even when altered. My friend had a orange tabby boy (domestic shorthair) that used to hump a special teddy bear (and later moved on to a special furry throw) and seem to get pleasure from it all... weirdly this had to be in public, he would drag the teddy bear in front of people to do this... LOL!
