HI EVERYBODY! I've been on the hunt for a savanna every since my grandmother died.. she and my mother were AVID Savanna lovers.. I grew up with a Savanna in my home, as did my mom.. thank you to those of you who have reached out to help me! This is a wonderful and supportive group! Thanks for taking me in and helping me on my hunt for the perfect kitty! I'm searching for a Savanna in upstate NY. I've only found one breeder and as I was telling her info I gained by emailing a member of this group she called me a liar because it wasn't public. Soooo NOW I guess even though I loved her boy, I'm looking for a new one. Awe well.. in any case...I want an F5 Savanna.. it's the highest link I legally can have in NYS.. if anyone would like to help me please message me. I'm very disappointed the kitty I wanted isn't going to work out.

Welcome! You may want to broaden your horizons a bit and look in NJ, CT, Mass, etc...and yes, F5 is the earliest generation you can have - thanks for doing the right thing and looking for a legal savannah!

Sorry all.. as I've said.. looking for an F5 SAVANNA male kitty.. please email me at sissylashway@outlook.com if you CAN help.. I AM willing to travel within the NY area and surrounding states if need be.. thanks all for your help and support! Truly appreciated at this time of sadness in our home. At LEAST the hunt for a kitten has eased some of the kids pain.. I'm still a crying emotional fool, but the kids are excited for a kitten..

SissySEK, sorry for your loss. Losing a furbaby, regardless of the circumstances is always horrible.
If you want a F5 male, you will have to look outside of NY state as this would involve breeding a F4 female savannah to a SBT (F5 or later gen) savannah male and F4's are illegal in NY.

Good point, Rafiki, to get an F5 you can't be looking in NY state...
