The first pegigree was issued and signed by TICA USA. It said him to be F3. TICA USA told me that they did not issue this one and did not sign it. That noone else is allowed to sign this and it it falsified.

As i confronted the breeder he told me different stories and gave me later a pedegree which he created himself. Not from TICA just a sheet of paper which says which his parents, granparents etc. were.

I already got a F1 Savannah from a European breeder and I am so impressed. He is social, cute, everything. He is so different. I am so sorry for my F3

I am SO very sorry for all you have been through. What heartbreak with multiple cats from that breeder. And the lack of disclosure when obviously this cat had already had surgery as you mention an "implant"? But of course the falsified papers is the worst, as now you have the authorities to deal with.

So what proof is going to satisfy the authorities then, given that the TICA papers are declared false? What evidence will they then accept on whether your boy is F5 or further or a Serengeti?

When you confronted the breeder and he sent you the handmade pedigree, did you ask why he couldn't give you the correct papers?

This might be best handled by contacted the SV Breed Chair, Pam Flachs, but also your TICA Regional Director and the breeder's Regional Director and see if there is any way to pressure the breeder into providing the correct paperwork to satisfy your authorities.

In terms of your F3's pain, it is so sad to think that he is limited in movement and in pain all the time. Have you maybe considered trying acupuncture with him to see if that can help? I've used acupuncture in a couple of my cats and it really depends on the cat whether they will tolerate it or not. But I use it for my dog on a regular basis to keep him walking. His spine issues are so bad without it he just cannot walk no matter how much pain meds we give him...but monthly acupuncture keeps him relatively good. He still needs pain meds as his arthritis is now hurting him too. It's been miraculous for him, so I think it probably worth trying a few sessions to see? Pain medication is so hard with cats, there's very few options. I feel so sad for this poor boy and all he is going through :-(

Wow, that is so sneaky and devious - no wonder you're wondering what exactly it is you own!!

Thank you. I have the problem now that I have issue trusting a breeder.

He had a serious accident oder somewhat which injured him in that way that his leg needed to be fixed with a implant. He also had his hernia broken and his liver passed through. I did not know that something happened to him otherwise i would not have taken him and I would have guessed that maybe he has issues with something with an accident. So the University vet Hospital took time to realize whats wrong with him.
They told me that he must have had a very serious accident like with a car or a window. We only got to know the implant because I wanted to do the xray for hip displasia. In other xrays usually the legs aren´t on the xray. I dont know what happened and he did not tell me. I just think that he must have been seperated long time in his early kittenage because of his injuries.

I am sure that he is not F5 or further. He is too big and his behaviour is not like a F5. I dont know what to do. We took a lawyer now who will do the issue with the authorities.

I didnt know that TICA may help. I am not native speaker and did and still do not understand the procedure. Leslie Bowers (I think it was her, I would have to recheck) wrote me something like to make a complaint. But I did not know what this could help me. I also paid for tax and custompapers but did not receive it and he told me that he did not pay the tax and did not declare it at the border.

Even if he would give me papers. I would not trust it anymore. I would insist on genetic proof of his parents now. First he told me that he had no papers because he was born from a female who had no CITES herself. I dont know if this is true or if it is also a lie. I just now that my F3 had littermates and I think they must have been sold too. (i saw him on a foto with littermates on facebook).

i forgot: He will not give me other papers. He just went on lying and said that he is not able to talk to us anymore because he is in Hospital and dont know when he will go out and had other people talking to us. This resulting in that we were told that we had to send the vac paper to him express and we were told that we would get corrected vac papers back (there were issues with the vac papers also but he said the vet just put in the wrong date and we will geht the corrected vac papers ad once back) but he kept the vac papers and send us nothing. He was also not reacting anymore.
