Nail Grinders

Do any of you use nail grinders to trim your Savannah's claws instead of regular nail clippers? Some people supposedly have better luck grinding than they do cutting... wondering if that has been the case for anyone. Or if the cat hates having his nails trimmed is that pretty much the case no matter what?

I've only ever tried it with my dog who is very scared of nail trims. He has multicolored nails so over his lifetime the quick has been cut more than once. It's a chore to do his nail trims. He found the dremel terrifying, and worse than the clippers. I can't imagine being able to use one near the cats, their ears are so sensitive to noise and anything that buzzes in the slightest must be slapped to death...

I agree, I would never even attempt the grinder, I don't think even my Highlanders would put up with it, and they're tolerant of pretty much anything...

I have not used one but I would think that the noise would freak out my cats.
