New Christmas stuffed toys

Myself being owned by master Savannah I know we all love our furbabies. Just a quick note here to remind everyone that stuffed toys are very dangerous. I personally feel even more so for Savannah's with the play being more intense....so to speak. The stuffing used in most toys, if eaten can cause a blockage that could be fatal. I always worried that Emma would tear into one when I wasn't aware or sleeping. So as I've mentioned before I open up all the toys as I get them and rid it of the dangerous stuffing and replace it with cotton fabric ( so it won't make it weigh heavy) that is cut sorta in pieces so I can reshape accordingly. YES. .... it might not look excatly like before surgery but I can rest at ease that she'll tire before she's tempted to eat that fabric. Emma has pica so maybe your babies won't be faced with this situation. But I don't have to worry about it. I had to change to dirt ( adding a small amount of litter can't think of the name at the moment) because Emma was eating the clay litter. Her BM was the identical color of clay and a forced movement to pass it. I spied on her and found her eating it. Just some FYI info. Happy holidays to everyone

I agree that stuffed toys are a potential hazard to cats. I never purchase stuffed toys myself but if ever gifted one will usually let them play with it only when under direct supervision, and then put it safely away and out of reach of pesky paws...

I learned to keep stuffed toys put up unless I can supervise... luckily Shango never tried to eat the stuffing. He actually liked eating the fabric on some toys and fortunately everything passed without any issues or he ended up throwing it back up. One stuffed cat toy I actually caught him tearing it apart and spitting the stuffing out and then he tried to proceed in eating the mouse's head once it was free of stuffing. He's getting better with age, but there are still certain toys he's only allowed to play with under supervision.

Great that your able to supervise your baby. My girl is sneaky.....she likes to stash her toys. So when I change out all the stuffing when they enter the house NO NEED TO WORRY.arent we always on the look out for something?

Emma seems to enjoy the stuffed animals. Never know what they'll pick to play with....right?

You sure don't, but they always seem to love boxes so if I leave anything out for them it's usually something made out of cardboard...
