Hey, I figured I should make an introduction here as I've been reading a lot about everyones experiences and seeing pictures of your beautiful cats.
I don't have an SV yet but I'm hopefully going to be getting one. Waiting on an older F3 male to be put up for adoption, I noticed him on a local breeders website but the owner decided to go through SVrescue instead of doing it herself.
Hoping I can see him and get to know him before I decide if he's the right kitty for me especially as he is older so I'm hoping rehoming won't be too difficult.
Anyways, I hope to update here with great stories and pics of him if I do end up getting him. If not, well I'll just have to wait for the right kitty to come along!

Hi MarX...can you do me a favor and change your profile to male or female, so we don't have to look at a question mark?

Welcome!!! Not sure which F3 you are referring to...some of us are with Savannah Rescue here, which is why I mention it... Usually in rescue, it is impossible to meet and greet, though. I hope things work out for you!

As Paige says, it usually isn't possible to arrange appointments to view cats that we are rehoming via Rescue. By the time an owner surrenders, they want the cat gone...not to be having visitors come to see the cat!

Hopefully this kitty does work out for you! Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I figured as such with the rescue, we will have to see how it goes. I hope I can give him a nice home :)
Btw the one I am referring to is Zeus. Don't have any info further than that though.
Is a vet check standard procedure for the rescue group or?

It depends on the situation... if we take into a foster home and then adopt then we would have them vetted. But there are cases where we are trying to rehome from the owner's home in which case we sometimes cannot get that done. In those cases, we disclose that...we try to disclose everything we know about a given cat and situation.

Our preference is to update a cat's vaccinations, neuter/spay and microchip if not already done.
