I know exactly what you mean, I tend to worry over and over with a problem and can't let it go... so for peace of mind I would have to make that appointment, hopefully you won't have to wait too long for it!
I'm so glad that Anaya is returning to her normal self, that is likely a huge relief. IF it is asthma, many cats live good lives with that when it is well-managed...probably like us humans. I've suffered from asthma since I was 21 years old, so I feel for poor Anaya if that is the issue. I wonder if cats can take Singulair? I know they can take many of the human asthma drugs... but for me Singulair was an amazing step, I've been able to put aside inhalers for the most part and just take that one pill a day.
So many of the scary things that might be the issue will turn out to be manageable. My very first Savannah has a heart valve defect that was supposed to kill him by 2 years of age. He turned TWELVE this year. Funnily, my friend Kristine saw the cardiologist that diagnosed him recently and she asked about Bobo...she is amazed he is still going strong and said that a paper really needs to be written on him! LOL! Right now, I am a bit worried for him, he's suddenly started fighting being pilled again and sounds a bit different (gurgly maybe) so am trying to stop myself panicking and wait until Monday to make an appt at the cardiologist.
So it seems her liver is functioning “normal”. The anesthesia problem was maybe what is typical of Savannahs. She has, however, had a relapse with the coughing, and it is looking more and more like it may be asthma or allergy related. She has responded well to the prednisolone OR methylprednisolone, prescribed separately by different drs. IF it is allergy based, and perhaps began with a "puff back” litter experience, can anyone offer advise as to the best litter with the least dust? And does anyone have any experience treating a asthmatic cat? I’d love to hear?
