Smelly is in the nose of the beholder -- is his breath enough to make your toes curl? Have you looked at his teeth and gums to ensure they are healthy? Has he had a checkup recently with bloodwork?

I just took a quick look at the Purrform website. They supplement with vitamins, but overall, the only food I see there that I would consider complete is the tub range chicken with organs and bones. The other foods are lacking in sufficient organ meats. Heart is considered a red meat not an organ meat. I couldn't find the percentages of meat/organ/bone listed for any of the food so in addition to some of them lacking enough organ meat, it's difficult to know if the diets have properly balanced ratio of meat/organ/bone.

So, perhaps the problem with breath is that the diet needs to be supplemented with a high quality vitamin such as Mazuri (for slab meat since all the Purrform contains bone), OR, you need to add more organ meat to the food.

Thanks for your help, Elivis is going in to vets for a check up in a couple of weeks so I'll get them to check his mouth,

If Elvis is teething, that CAN cause bad breath. My Regulus had killer breath when he was teething. But it is sweet now. :)
