Sniffing Like a Dog?

Is sniffing like a dog a SV trait?

My boy walks around sniffing things, just like a dog would; and the funny thing is that you can HEAR him doing it: "sniff sniff sniff sniff". It's so cute!

My Maine Coon and orange Tabby both do that once in a while, although I can't hear it unless they are close to my ear.

My Nimbus does that. He sniffs everything!

I think mine are pretty scent-oriented... when I come into the house my F2 boy has always wanted me to present my hands for him to sniff over

Always! and then their mouth hangs open a bit too!!

It's cute because it can be loud at times and I forget that I'm dealing with a cat; not a dog . And he growled today for the 1st time! He likes to carry socks around the house and as I was trying to take it away, there it was. The growl. A playful one though.
