So confused about what/how to feed...

When I get Weruva, I have 8 varieties. The original formulas, not the new branded stuff. I double down on the chicken or chicken/duck so every other meal is something they haven't had in 72 hours. Then they get 1/3 to 1/2 my filet 3-4 times a week. It keeps them guessing and I can withhold the seafood varieties when the trash bag is new to buy me an extra day or two before changing the bag. ;)

The only time I saw a meal missed with Isis was when she woke up on the wrong side of the bed and skipped a meal. I thought I cracked her hunger but the next day she was right back into starving kitten mode. She just now thumped her head on the inside of the arm of my exec leather chair jumping into my lap and give me a headbutt on the face (oww my lip) to tell me she's ready for meal 5 and round out the lb for the day.

My 14lb adults haven't missed a meal in over two years. Even with laryngitis, they pound it down. I don't get the hunger strikes, it mystifies me.

Haven't had any Weruva in the house for a while, although one cat wouldn't touch it, maybe some gravy licking, and if really pressed eat some meat leaving the vegetables behind. In a multi-cat household, you'll always find something that someone doesn't like. This lends it self to the broader point of what works for someone else may not work for you. Fortunately our local pet food store is always good about providing us samples and we have close friends and family that account for about 15 cats so nothing goes to waste.

With my last order with Hare Today, I really mixed it up in an effort to find out if there is anything that really floats Chongo's boat. Feeding time is still a big game for him and he'd rather use his food for bait with the other cats than actually eat it. More than anything, he still loves his kibble and will make some noise while eating it to let everyone know it's not a good idea to approach his bowl.

So it goes I guess, find a solution and the next week they change the rules.
