Staring into a dark mirror

Anyone have an SV who will sit in a dark room and stare into a mirror for an hour at a time? Loki started doing this recently and it is beyond creepy. He doesn't bother anything in the bathroom just sits quietly on the sink and stares into the dark mirror like he's summoning Satan. Turn on the light and he immediately loses interest. He just turned 9 months 8/27/16. I'm used to him trying to remove the sink stopper or chasing his tail in the bathtub but sitting quietly is really odd behavior.

That's interesting. Cats have excellent night vision so perhaps he's just admiring himself in the mirror or trying to figure out why the handsome cat on the other side doesn't want to come play. Chances are this behavior will pass as soon as he developes another fetish. They can get quite quirky as they mature and develop habits that seem senseless to us but make perfect sense to them.

I've not seen this before, but agree with Deborah - he is probably just trying to puzzle out who the gorgeous cat on the other side of the glass is...

I have noticed some cast off fur around the sink. Maybe he grooms in front of the mirror. I never see him groom but his coat is meticulous. I was going to say spotless but he has plenty of spots.
